RPI, UNION OPEN ECAC SCHEDULE.(SPORTS)

TROY His team has worked all week to deal with an embarrassing moment, injuries continue to be a pain, and the ECAC preseason favorite comes to town tonight to initialize RPI's conference schedule.

So what does first-year Engineer coach Dan Fridgen have to be thankful for?

``I think you've got to be optimistic because we've got a couple more games coming up and we've got to try to win them,'' said Fridgen, whose team is coming off a stunning 5-2 loss to Army before a near-capacity crowd at Houston Field House last Saturday.
