Lansdown For only the second time in its 114-year history,Lansdown Golf Club has a husband and wife as club captain and ladycaptain at the same time.
John Bennett took over at the club's annual meeting, while wifePenny was appointed in November.
The only other husband and wife to captain the club at the sametime were Albert and Betty Kite in 1985.
Outgoing captain Dave Webb said how much he had enjoyed his yearand wished Bennett, also the club's treasurer, every success.
The captain's namesake, Welsh rugby and legend Phil Bennett, wasthe special guest at the captain's Installation Dinner.
