The 18th Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference originally scheduled for 2B4 April 1999 will now take place the following month, from 20B23 May (see Biomedical Materials, December 1998, calendar item, p. 11). The organizers explain that this is due to the clash with the Easter holidays. The deadline for submission of abstracts has also been moved back. They should be in by 18 December this year.
